A version of the origin of astrology

© by: Willie Krut

The history of development astrological fog that is the history of mankind. Certainly, there is a theory of biological evolution developed by Charles Darwin and others, indicating that all species of organisms arise and develop by natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the capacity a person in competition, survive and reproduce. There is also a not entirely proven a theory of astrology development that our ancestors have been observed stars in the sky, while writing that took place, and as a result, they came to the conclusion that allegedly Some configurations in the sky are certain procedures on earth.

I do not want to go deep into scientific disputes, but the theory of humanity as a result of natural selection seems to me unreal. For tens of centuries reflected in history, man has changed very little. By the same token, I do not possible to the accident, astrology just observation. While many imperative astrological observations were made in the past, especially in Babylon. However, their aim was not discovered, but only the recognition of astrological laws.

We can ask then how do these laws come? I would answer: they were the result of Appendix practice of certain philosophical concepts-religious. Of course, we can continue from where these concepts, etc. If we continue to do that, we'll go too far from our sphere of interests in practice astrology.

There are many blank spots in the history of astrology. When you try to understand it very often there is an impression, once there is a thorough knowledge that has gradually been forgotten. For example, there is evidence that the very deep and detailed astronomy (which is, in fact, astrology than astronomy at the time, was an integral component of astrology) have been around in Egypt a day of the Pyramids of creation, that is - about 2400 BC. Around this time (1650 BC), they have created calendars complex and it seems that the Egyptians later began to forget the basis of these astronomical calendars.

It is possible to say that astrology has come for Europe (we concentrate on the European branch of astrology as closest to us) of the Egyptian, Babylonian, Persian and sources. The intermediaries in this process, interpreters and distributors of the astrological knowledge to the first century of our era. Have the Greek philosophers. The Greek books are a source of astrology to the civilized world at the time, including the Roman Empire. Astrology played an important role in the Roman Empire and by the fourth century AD, was finally declared as a science.

However, after the Roman Empire collapsed around 500 AD and the rise of barbarian kingdoms in Europe (now in Italy, France, Germany, etc) astrological tradition in Western and Central Europe has ceased. And in the east, in the Byzantine Empire, religious and political completely abolished the practice of astrology.

Then, on the scene came the Arabs. In 711 AD extended their empire from the territory of present-day Spain to the west of India to the east. In the eighth century, Arabian governors and leaders of the Muslim world prompted the intelligence of the country to study the Greek language and assimilate the scientific achievements of other nations. Thus, astrology Greek with other Greek science has become a component of the Arab Islamic science. In this condition, astrology has continued to grow, while in Europe during six centuries, from 500 to 1100 AD, the practice of astrology is extremely complicated.

One of the main reasons for the decline of astrology in Europe was the decline in mathematics and other scientific training that followed the fall of the Roman Empire. However, in 1100 the West has done, finally, the need for development of a science - the same way as it took place in the East Muslim VIII century. The mass of Arabic translation scientists (including astrological) texts of Latin language began.

The result has become the renewed interest in astrology in Europe, which extends until the seventeenth century.
